In a recent JD Power study, Nissan beats out other top auto brands to become the highest-rated in the industry for initial quality. Nissan beat out Hyundai, Chevrolet, Honda, Dodge, Kia, Buick, Jeep, Subaru, Ford, and Toyota to become the leading brand across the industry for initial quality, an improvement of five places from the previous year's study. Across all brands, the average number of problems per 100 vehicles was 192, with Nissan landing 23 points below the average automaker.
